Hi family and Friends!

Hope you all enjoy the new updates, just wanted to let you know that Cody, the hockey player we were hosting is no longer living with us. He was kicked off the team last weekend for violating team curfew. Last Tuesday we had a new player move in, his name is Curtis, he is also 15. So far it is working out much better. I haven't been able to get a picture of him yet so stay tuned! We hope all is well with everyone, happy fall!

Greta's 3 month pictures

We had Greta's 3 month pictures taken yesterday, yes we had a very busy day yesterday, soccer, train ride, pictures and the Badger hockey game!

We thought this one was a funny little pose she did, too bad her hand is "missing"Of course when Isaac heard that we were getting Greta's pictures taken he thought he needed his too, so we did one with both of them at the end, by this time Greta was done with having her pictures taken, this is the only one that turned out.

Last night we went to our first Badger women's hockey game and Greta's first hockey game. We had fun and the Badger's won 7-3!

If you can see the two guys in the badger jersey's behind Isaac and Carter, they were crazy! They did all of the Badger cheers and Isaac and Carter tried to follow, we predict this will be Isaac and Carter in about 17 years.

Family Train Ride

The whole family went on a train ride Saturday morning, McFarland was having a family festival that included a free trian ride to Madison and Back, it was about a 45 minute ride, the boys loved it!

"It's like the Polar Express Mom!" Isaac was so excited to be on a train like the Polar Express.

A visit with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Bottjen

Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Bottjen were in town Friday night, we went to visit them, it had been awhile since we last saw them. This was their first time meeting Greta. They were on their way to Arizona for the winter.

Greta wore tights for the first time last weekend for church, it was a very scary event for Mom, I wasn't even sure if I was supposed to put them on before the diaper cover or after, I had to ask Grandma! We both survived, they were actually pretty cute.

Isaac and Carter are both playing soccer this fall. We were not able to get them on the same team which of course means that they played against each other. Neither little guy had a very good soccer day, perhaps they didn't like playing against each other.

Meet Cody

Let us introduce you to Cody, we are housing him for the hockey season, he is 15 years old and is from Kenosha. He is playing on the Stoughton Thunder a Junior A team that is new to Stoughton this year. Of course he was an instant hit with Isaac, he plays hockey with him! This photo was taken tonight as they were playing hockey in the living room.

Greta turned 12 weeks old today, I can't believe it! She is smiling more and even trying to laugh. As I mentioned in a previous post she has started to roll over from her tummy to her back, she is just getting so big so fast! Here are some pictures of Greta from the last two weeks.

We finally got to meet my friend Jessica Schipper's little boy Sam last Saturday. Sam is 4 months old, he and Greta liked looking at each other.

Soccer

Isaac started soccer last Saturday, Carter is also playing soccer but they are on different teams. This is Isaac's second soccer session and he did much better this time around! Go purple team!

Greta was eating right before we went to soccer last Saturday and she started holding her bottle all by herself. She couldn't do it for a very long time but longer than I thought she would be able. Today at daycare she rolled over from her tummy to her back, then she did it again a few times at home tonight, she turned 11 weeks old today..she is getting to be such a big girl already!

Once big brother heard that she was holding her bottle by herself he decided she need help, because "she's too little Mom"
My God son Alex came to stay with us last Friday night, it was his first time meeting Greta.

Our wonderful neighbor has a trampoline and is nice enough to let us play on it anytime we want. Isaac has a ball with it. Carter came over last Friday night and they had a blast jumping!

They started soccer the next morning so they were practicing trampoline soccer

Greta started daycare on Tuesday Sept 2nd. She has to go to a different place than Isaac goes to because his daycare is full, we are on the waiting list! She had a great day, which made it a teeny tiny bit easier for Mommy and Daddy

My sister's birthday was on Labor Day, we went to her house for a pool party, the kids played in the pool and the adults sat poolside talking. We had alot of fun and everyone got along great despite the fact that no naps were taken!

Meet the volleyball Badgers

Saturday night we went to the Badger intersquad volleyball scrimmage, we got to see Bucky and meet the team and coaches.

Isaac is going to do learn to skate this year so we decided to get him out on his skates before it actually starts.

Last Friday we spent the day with Aunt Courtney Cousin Carter and Cousin Wesley. We went to the splash park in the morning and to Grandma's for dinner Friday night.

Here are some pictures of Greta playing on her mat last week, she even fell asleep for a little bit. We also tried to sit her in her bumbo seat, she did pretty good and could keep her head up for a few minutes before she got tired.

We went to State Fair on August 6. It was Carter's 3rd birthday, the boys got to ride a bunch of rides and each got to play a game. We had a bunch of fun and even got to see Bucky Badger.

Extreme Makeover Home Edition

Extreme Makeover Home Addition built a house in Richland Center and my Mom and I volunteered for it. We had a great time as we got to participate in the "Braveheart March" which is in the beginning of the show when all of the volunteers march up to the old house for the demolition. We also went to two charity softball games that were held to raise money for the family. We got to meet some of the cast and crew of the show, we even got to take a tour of the bus.

Camping

In July our family has a family reunion camping trip, we go to Dexter County Park which is by Wisconsin Rapids. We took Greta on her first camping trip when she was 3 weeks old. We borrowed a camper from my cousin Kelly and her husband Shane. Greta stayed with Mommy and Grandma G. the first night in the camper and the second night she slept with Daddy in the tent, she did great both nights and stayed on her schedule only getting up once. We had thunderstorms Saturday evening and we very happy that we had a camper to hang out in.
